Fluency

Stuttering, stammering and cluttering are different types of conditions which may affect the fluency of one’s speech. Dysfluencies come in many different shapes and forms such as blocks (stops mid-word or sentence with a longer and often more tense pause than expected), prolongation (over-stretching of sounds), and unnatural repetition of sounds, parts of words, whole words or even phrases. Therapy for these conditions usually encompass fluency shaping and fluency enhancing techniques.
